Meet Lindsey Richardson, Service Coordinator in our Janesville, Wisconsin office.
Lindsey plays a vital role in supporting our electrical service operations by keeping communication clear and schedules on track. She works closely with customers, Service Electricians, Service Managers, and Project Managers to ensure every service request is handled accurately and efficiently.

Q: What first sparked your interest in working in construction?
A: Before working at Westphal & Company, I spent eight years working with large backup generator systems, which gave me experience in fast paced and high-pressured environments. That experience has helped me in the construction and electrical field because I enjoy work that directly supports my team and keeps them running. I also enjoy the opportunity to help my team grow and I believe the construction industry is full of those opportunities.
Q: What’s a moment in your career, or something in your day-to-day that makes you feel proud to work in the industry?
A: One of the things that makes me most proud is helping coordinate solutions when customers are dealing with urgent or unexpected issues. I enjoy organizing schedules, communicating with my team, and helping to get problems solved. Supporting the electricians is something else I take pride in because their success depends on strong coordination behind the scenes. Knowing I help play a role in helping projects run smoothly and make customers happy is something I am very proud of.
Q: What advice would you give to someone who is considering a career in construction?
A: Don’t be intimidated by the idea that construction is only for certain people. There are so many different career paths within the industry, from coordination, project management, field work, and more. If you are willing to learn and ask questions you will succeed.
Q: What do you enjoy most about the people or culture at Westphal & Company/Globalcom Technologies?
A: What I enjoy most is the strong sense of teamwork and support I have with my team and everyone in the company. Everyone works together to solve problems and help each other out, which creates a positive environment. I also appreciate that the company values quality work and takes pride in what they do. Being part of a team that is knowledgeable, hardworking, and supportive makes my job enjoyable and motivates me to continue growing in my role.
