Q: What first sparked your interest in working in construction?

A: I’ve grown up around construction my entire life, as my dad owns a rough and finish carpentry company. From a young age, I was visiting jobsites with him, hearing about the day-to-day challenges, and seeing the pride he took in his work. Watching his successes and understanding the impact of building something tangible really showed me how rewarding and fulfilling this industry can be.

Q: What’s a moment in your career, or something in your day-to-day that makes you feel proud to work in the industry?

A: I’m most proud when I see a project come together after months of teamwork and problem-solving. Knowing I contributed to something tangible and lasting makes the hard work worth it.

Q: What advice would you give to someone who is considering a career in construction?

A: Trust yourself and stick with your instincts. There may be times when people doubt you, but don’t let others’ opinions define your path. If you’re passionate about construction, pursue it confidently. I’ve seen how this industry rewards hard work, resilience, and determination.

Q: What do you enjoy most about the people or culture at Westphal & Company/Globalcom Technologies

A: What I appreciate most is how willing everyone is to support one another. People take the time to help without making you feel like you’re interrupting or asking too much. The teamwork and mutual respect create a positive environment that has helped me learn and grow.
