Get to know Adrian more and why he is proud to work in safety:
Q: What’s something people outside the trade don’t realize about staying safe on the job?
A: Electricity doesn’t have to look dangerous to be deadly.
A panel can be quiet, wires can look intact, and equipment can appear “off” but still be energized. Most accidents don’t happen because someone didn’t know, they happen because someone was rushed, distracted, or had done the same task safely a hundred times before.
Q: What stands out to you about how Westphal & Company / Globalcom Technologies approaches safety?
A: A lot of companies treat safety as a checklist or compliance item. Westphal & Globalcom ties it directly to quality work. We explicitly connect our reputation to “integrity, craftsmanship, and safety”.
Having dedicated Safety Specialists supporting both our electrical and technology divisions creates a unified and structured safety program across all our work.
Q: Why are you proud to work in safety?
A: You influence decisions before they become accidents. Good safety isn’t reacting, it’s catching. When safety is done right, nothing happens, and that’s the point. You prevented something that most people wouldn’t have even noticed coming. Every uneventful day is a win.
