Mount Carmel is home to retired Sisters of Charity for the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM) and Presbyterian Homes & Services, who are in need of different levels of care. This Design/Build project is a new 250,000 sq ft. senior living housing facility. This building is the second major project in a multi-phase effort to reshape the campus and better serve the growing older adult population in the Dubuque community. The facility is being designed and built to resemble the existing Motherhouse that was established in 1833 and includes 116 independent living apartments, new common areas, four passenger elevators, and a pool with a spa. The electrical scope of the project includes new interior lighting, site lighting, emergency power, fire alarm system, and voice data system, CATV, CCTV, and building access control/security.
